Cullen Thompson is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Bienville Capital Management. Cullen serves as the firm's President and Chief Investment Officer responsible for overall investment strategy. He has extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment strategy, including strategic asset allocation, investment manager due diligence and portfolio construction. Prior to co-founding Bienville, Cullen was the Director of Investments at RR Advisory Group, LLC, a New York-based private wealth management firm. Prior to joining RR Advisory Group, Cullen was a Senior Research Analyst within the U.S. Investment Solutions group of the Citigroup Private Bank, where he constructed holistic asset allocation strategies, including traditional and alternative investments, as well as conducted due diligence on external investment managers. Before Citigroup, he was a Senior Portfolio Analyst with Lehman Brothers Trust Co., formerly Neuberger Berman, where he developed customized asset allocation solutions for high net-worth individuals. In addition, he had responsibilities in risk management and conducting hedge fund due diligence for the firm's proprietary fund of hedge funds. Cullen began his career at Arthur Andersen, LLP, in the Private Client Services group serving Fortune 500 executives and ultra-high net-worth individuals. Cullen received his bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama's Culverhouse School of Accountancy. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the NY Society of Security Analysts, and is a CFA Charterholder. He is a native of Mobile, AL and splits his time between New York and Mobile. Billy Stimpson is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Bienville Capital Management. Billy also serves as the firm's Chief Executive Officer. He has broad experience in financial markets, trading, equity derivatives and portfolio risk management. Billy has assisted numerous clients, including banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, hedge funds and high net-worth individuals with reducing risk and enhancing portfolio returns using equity derivatives. Prior to co-founding Bienville, Billy was a Managing Director and Head of Derivatives Trading at Bay Crest Partners, LLC, an independent broker-dealer in New York. Before joining Bay Crest, Billy was an Executive Director at JPMorgan on the U.S. Equity Derivatives trading desk. Prior to JPMorgan, Billy was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where he traded index and equity derivatives within the Global Equity Derivatives group. Billy graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Vanderbilt University. He is a native of Mobile, AL and lives in New York, NY. He is on the Board of Directors of T.R. Miller Mill Company. Ralph Reynolds is a co-founder of Bienville Capital Management and serves as a Senior Advisor to the firm. Ralph has expansive knowledge of financial markets and over 25 years of experience in trading, derivatives and risk management. He has held global leadership positions at several leading financial services firms with responsibilities for as many as 2,500 employees. Prior to co-founding Bienville, Ralph was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Carlyle Blue Wave, a multi-strategy hedge fund. From 1998 to 2006, Ralph was a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank, where he served as the Global Head of Equities, the Global Head of Proprietary Trading, and sat on the firm's Risk Management Committee. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NatWest Securities in Greenwich, Conn., from 1996 to 1998. From 1991 to 1996, Ralph was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in New York and London, where he was one of the youngest employees on record to achieve the position. He began his career at O'Connor and Associates in 1984 where he was a Principal in Chicago and Tokyo until 1991. Ralph received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Ralph is a native of Mobile, AL and lives in Darien, CT. He is an Elder at Noroton Presbyterian Church and serves on the Board of Trustees of Southern New England Presbytery, the Board of Trustees for Greenwich Academy, and the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. From 2000 to 2005, Ralph was on the Board of Directors of the International Securities Exchange. Don Stoltz joined Bienville Capital Management in June 2009 and is a Partner serving as Head of Trading and Chief Operating Officer. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry in areas including trading, operations, marketing and portfolio risk management. Prior to joining Bienville, Don was a proprietary trader at First New York Securities, LLC. Before joining First New York, Don was a Vice President at JPMorgan, where he worked for 10 years in diverse roles, including equity derivatives trading and institutional sales focusing on risk management and yield enhancement for pension funds, endowments, hedge funds, high net-worth individuals and money managers. He also has experience in middle and back office operations. Don graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Management and a minor in Economics. He is originally from Mississauga, Canada and lives in Livingston, NJ. He is a member of the Investment Committee at Temple B’Nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, NJ. Blake J. Bennett joined Bienville in January 2011 and serves as an Analyst, responsible for assisting the Investment Committee with macroeconomic research, portfolio analysis, strategy and risk management. Prior to joining Bienville, Blake was a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Intuitive Risk Management LLC, a global macro fund, which also offered advisory and risk-management consulting services. While running Intuitive Risk Management, Blake did business development and worked with the President of Intuitive Allocations LLC, a financial engineering firm that develops proprietary patent-pending asset allocation and risk management software used for managing risk in institutional, hedge fund and individual high-net worth portfolios. Prior to launching the fund, Blake was Co-Editor-in-Chief of Intuitive Market Thesis LLC where he wrote a daily macroeconomic analysis covering global fixed-income, equity, currency and commodity markets. Blake began his career at HGK Asset Management where he interned in their Fixed-Income Department. Blake began forming Intuitive Risk Management LLC as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University, where he earned degrees in Economics, Corporate Strategy and Financial Economics. Blake is from Far Hills, NJ and currently lives in New York. Champ Meyercord has more than 40 years of experience in the investment business and has served as a Senior Advisor to the firm since December 2008. Prior to joining Bienville, Champ retired in 2008 as a Director of Stralem & Company, a New York-based asset management firm. From 2000 to 2006, he was a Partner at Eagle Capital Management, also based in New York. Prior to Eagle Capital Management, Champ served in executive positions at Hillcrest Partners, Greenwich Capital Management and Altiva Financial Corporation from 1985 to 2000. From 1970 to 1985, Champ was an executive in the private equity business, first with McLean Securities and later with XM Partners. Champ currently serves on the Board of Directors as Chairman of the Investment Committee of Drew University. He is on the Advisory Board of the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama, the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of South Alabama, and the Advisory Board to Point Clear Capital Management, a macro investment manager with expertise in fixed-income markets. Champ received his bachelor's degree from Birmingham Southern College. He is a native of Mobile, AL and currently lives in Point Clear, AL. |
